Dear Lazyweb,

I am currently writing the dav backend for gvfs and I use apache + mod_dav for most of my my testing. I was now wondering if there is open webdav server out there that supports more features of the various webdav RFCs then mod_dav does. (E.g. ACL [RFC3744] or Redir [RFC4437]). An non-free but open server that I could use for testing would be fine as well.

  2. Hi Christian,

First of, thanks for your foss efforts in general. I've used the gnome desktop for about 8 years now. so thanks.....

I'm not able to provide you with the much needed webdav server yet. I will look in to the possibility of providing you with access to a windows IIS webdav server. Since the company I work for uses MS Sharepoint I would benefit from being able to access this with my trusted gnome desktop.

Do you know anything about accessing IIS webdav with linux. The server uses NTLM authentication.

    Thanks...

  3. Off the top of my head - there's an Apache one written in Java (called Slide I think). Also you could look around at various caldav implementations since they should behave like DAV servers. I don't know how much of the extensions they implement.
